Do you need a permit?
We can help determine this! Often for new work, repairs, and landscaping you will need a permit with one or more jurisdictions.
Who do you need a permit with?
That depends on where your project is located. You may need permits with: your city, your county, TPWD, Army Corps of Engineers, and/or your local river authority (like the GBRA). We can figure this out for you, or point you in the right direction.
What will you need for permits and permit applications?
This also depends on the project. You may need things like a survey of the property, topographical survey, a hydraulic analysis, a geotechnical analysis, civil and structural plans or drawings for the project, a copy of your deed, or more. For particular projects we have even had to get cultural and anthropological studies done. These aren't required for every project, but a few might be.
Can you do these permits on your own?
Yes, you can! For a fee, we can always pull permits for you! BUT if you want to pull your own permits we can help point you in the right direction. We can tell you who to call and give you a few contacts to help make the process a little easier.
How long does permitting take?
This can be hard to determine and comes down to the jurisdiction and what is needed for your permit applications.
